What I’m reading: Special Exits by Joyce Farmer, The Impostor’s Daughter by Laurie Sandell, Ghost World by Daniel Clowes, Song of Roland by Michel Rabagliati, Goodbye, Chunky Rice by Craig Thompson and Dear Lupin by Roger and Charlie Mortimer.

What I’m reading: Fun Home by Alison Bechdel and Cecil and Jordan in New York: Stories by Gabrielle Bell. Good reads.

Offspring memo: uh oh, our second clothing purchase. Hope this doesn’t become a problem! I’ve been good about refraining until lately…

Offspring memo: Almost 34 weeks now! Bump still seems small but I’m assuming I won’t have that to “complain” about by end of summer.

What I’m reading: Paul Moves Out and Paul Goes Fishing by Michel Rabagliati.

What I’m Reading: Good Eggs by Phoebe Potts and Cancer Vixen by Marisa Acocella Marchetto.
Good Eggs was heart-aching and reminded me of the tough time we had last year, overwhelmed and trying to stay hopeful as we went through fertility treatment and I had various procedures and surgeries, trying to conceive. Lately I’ve had unsettling fears creeping up on me, as we near my due date. It probably doesn’t help that the topic of fertility seems to pop up in every single book!

What I’m reading: Meh. These were okay; liked Relish better than French Milk. Found it disturbing how often she gushed about and consumed foie gras. Also couldn’t relate to a privileged girl in her early twenties, constantly talking about traveling and fine dining.

What I’m reading: with the state of brain fog I’m in, I figured graphic novels would be the way to go over the next 6ish weeks. I was a bit overexcited and click-happy, putting items on hold, and needed Ray’s help carrying everything home.
First up was Clumsy by Jeffrey Brown; entertaining and relatable at times. Next, Laika by Nick Abadzis; I spent the afternoon crying over her and am now eating my feelings.

I have an unnatural attachment to my NARS blush (a friend took me to a department store and helped me pick it out in my first year of university and it’s lasted me for the past decade!)… but finally got a new one. It’s an upgrade: Benefit #Benetint tinted lip and cheek stain. I feel so fancy😘. Can’t bring myself to chuck the old one though…
